We are excited to announce that the pepper plants growing at Porta'Lu Farms have begun to fruit, and we will be picking them in the upcoming weeks.
The top left photo is of Scotch Bonnet Peppers. The bright orange color means the pepper is fully ripened and ready to be picked.
The photo in the top right is of Scorpion Peppers. Take a look at the waxy-bumpy skin of the pepper. It allows for more pools of the pepper oil on the surface of the pepper.
The photo on the bottom left is of Scotch Bonnet Peppers that have not yet fully ripened, hence a green-purple color. The bottom right photo is of Pimento Peppers that have nearly ripened. Pimento peppers vary in color once maturity is reached.
